Software license fees in this field expected to grow from $2 billion this year to nearly $9 billion in 2005. Lots of failed projects, usually not because of the technology but because sales men refuse to use the programs.
IMHO, it's critical for the engineer left brained types at Seible to realize that their ultimate user is very different, a right brained people type of person. I have no idea whether this is the case or not at Seible, but the failure rate of sales force automation projects is so high that it suggests that many of these programs intimidate non technical salespersons.
