RE: Celeron is colloquial French

I am relaying a message from my friend Pepi le Peu at the l'Ecole Internationale d'Haute Etudes de Ordinateurs d'Etranger, which I have translated for those less fluent in the language of Racine, Moliere. Lagrange, Pascal, Laplace, and Piaf:

I have been convulsed by the multilingual humor of the guys at Intel. Even though Craig Barrett thought the name Celeron was dumb, the intelligentsia recognized its aptness. Everyone here in France recognized that "Celeron" was fractured phonetic colloquial French for "c'est le rond" -- which means in English "it is money!".
