that applies to the bull market. For internuts w/ doubtful fundamental in a bear market if your timing is wrong then you get a double whammy. If you buy vlsi you can put away for 3-6 mos w/ confidence, but if you want to daytrade then watch those internuts like a hawk (I recommend lcos athm, and if big bounce check aol amzn for short squeeze then hopefully you are out at the top - but have to be quick fingers)
