are we talking a snowball's chance in hell I believe so. The Rev. Proc. you cited was modified and superseded by the one I cited! I'll repeat, the IRS hasn't produced guidance on this issue and my contact there won't hint where they're going. In light of their treatment of similar issues, though, I would have to wonder what they were smoking if they came up with a retroactive election under section 475.
