AS I said before, that is all predicated on the belief that I am a sinner and am by nature "fallen" and not capable of rightousness. I do not believe that to be true. As a human being, have I sinned? Of course, I have. Will I sin again at some point? Yes, I will.
However, I believe that it is up to me to atone for my sins, and that in the balance of my life, I am far less a sinner, than I am a human being who is trying hard to live life in the manner that I think it should be lived, in accordance with the principles and ethics that I think it should be lived by.
IMO, I dont think we are measured by God by our ability to let him accept and absolve us of our sins, as we are by our ability to accept and give love fully and freely, and to live with compassion for and tolerance of the condition of our fellow man.
