FWIW. Amazon.com may be in for some stiff competition. Paxson Communications, the nation's largest owner of tv stations will be entering the business of on line retailing. Please visit www.pax.net to view its web site. Around the middle of September Pax Promenade will begin operations. I do not know the complete details, however it appears that Pax will be selling items from it's cyberstore that have been advertised on it's TV network, PAX TV. This will include books, cds, videos etc. Pax TV is the new family station that will debut 31 August. Bud Paxson the majority owner and founder of Paxson Communications has extensive experience with over the air selling. He is the founder of Home Shopping Network. If Pax decids to get serious with this project, it will be strong competition for the likes of Amazon. Good luck to all.
