Don't mean to make any waves, but the following is a true story and it concerned me deeply:

On Friday, I placed an order to sell 100 shs of HWP at market via internet appx 15 minutes prior to market close.

At appx 1/2 hour after market close, I checked my order status and it showed "Open". I found this rather odd that a market order for a blue chip stock couldn't get filled in final 15 minutes of trading.

First thing today, I checked order status and the order showed "Expired" so I place it again. After refreshing a couple times, TWO orders appeared as open (my original order from Friday and today's order). Naturally, this caused me some mild heartburn.

After refreshing a couple times, the Friday order appeared as "Filled" AS OF FRIDAY!! I immediately put in a cancel for my Monday order and called Ameritrade.

Customer service informed me that "they were having problems" and were "having to enter orders manually". They "worked all weekend on it" and "expected to be caught up by this afternoon".

I asked "what can I do to validate the status of my orders" and the reply was "if you enter a market order or a limit order within the trading range of the stock and your order doesn't appear as being 'Filled", call customer service."

Is anyone else as concerned about this as I am??

GO BIG RED!!!
