CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Alydaar Software Corporation (Nasdaq: ALYD) and MTS People Source, was awarded a Year 2000 contract by the State of Georgia's Department of Medical Assistance (DMA). Alydaar will remediate the Department's Medicare/Medicaid System's legacy computer system to make it Year 2000 compliant.
"This marks our second contract to deliver Year 2000 services to state governments," said Robert Gruder, Alydaar Chairman and CEO. "Our ability to accurately, remediate large amounts of legacy code in our Charlotte factory allows our state government customers to focus their resources on delivering services to the taxpayers, not changing code." The State of New Jersey has also contracted with Alydaar for Year 2000 services.
MTS PeopleSource was selected to assist the DMA in the planning, packaging and testing phases of the Year 2000 project. "Our close relationship with Alydaar allows us to give the customer one-stop shopping for all phases of their Year 2000 project, "said Lou Marcoccia, MTS PeopleSource President.
"We are charged with safeguarding the health and welfare of over 1,240,885 medicaid recipients (FY 1997 figures), said Barbara Prosser, Deputy Division Director of Georgia's Medical Assistance program. "With Alydaar, we will be able to preserve the integrity or our records well beyond the Year 2000." Prosser said her agency expects to have their Year 2000 project completed and tested by the end of March 1999.
