It's an interesting point - there was always speculation, but no one actually knew. I saw an interview with a lady that was reporting the White House at the time JFK was in office. She said that everyone suspected, but no one knew. They thought it was prudent to look the other way. Regardless of how people feel about whether Clinton's sex life should have been investigated, it was. Now we must deal with the consequences. No amount of Starr-bashing or gnashing of teeth will make it go away.
