Robert: I agree with you. Running from this annoyance unfortunately does more harm than good.
I really don't know what this guy's problem is, but it appears that 100% of the people who really follow FNTN saw through him within a handful of posts. I suspect it has nothing at all to do with his real feelings about the stock. The crusade-like attack against FNTN suggests something more than bad fortune. I don't know any investor or day trader that wastes any time in trashing a stock once they're out of it (plus OR minus). You just move on. Unless there is a hidden agenda.
It could be that he was burned trying to short.
It could be he's just a screwball.
He believes that everybody is conspiring against him.
Something unhealthy there.
Plus, he's been on a crusade to find more willing listeners (the old audience is dwindling). He actually jumped onto a thread that discusses nothing but the issue of annoying posters.
The IRONY is almost funny - and what a good use of time. Not unlike watching the light change at your local intersection. I recognized a couple of the names on the thread and they are established, legendary crackpots. The nuts walk willingly into the asylum.
Out of curiosity, I have tracked through some of his other postings. He had actually started a thread to get opinions on floats and seemed particularly interested in float-size vs. shorting potential. So entertain this - he's a crackpot AND a shorter with a personal agenda. He also knows enough about telephonics and the internet to talk a great game.
Like a bulldog, he won't let go. Spending all of the available space and time on the thread debunking him is what sent most of the knowledgeable posters away. I sympathize and empathize with their collective decision...but I do agree with you, Robert. Just turning off the light and turning the keys over to this man is a scary thought. He preaches convincingly to the unaware from his private pulpit. As of now, I'm trying to keep one foot on each thread while utilizing that personal choice "ignore" button that you so eloquently referred to.
