lib,
>>But how can stabilization happen if nobody is buying?<<
IMO, stabilization can happen if everybody stops selling.
This is already happening to a degree with COMS. The good news with COMS is that it's volume is miniscule with the big caps that are getting slaughtered.
Also, stabilization can happen if we get some news that Japan is going to do something right for a change. IMO, this is very possible because once they are pushed to the point of having a few major bankruptcies, they will move their butts. The only time they make progress, is when they are pushed to the limit. I'm hoping they get 1/6 dozen bank failures before the end of the month...(fat chance, but we never know).
If Japan shows any signs of improvement, then we will see relatively rapid healing of the Asian Flu.
Phoenix, I think you live in Japan last I remember. Can you give us a bird's eye view? Are those politicians starting to worry yet? Or are they just resigned to loosing the next elections and bringing in the new wave of reform? I'll bet the average citizen doesn't know what's going on much except that his job might be in jeopardy and that's akin to loosing a member of the family, right? Other than that, Indonesia, South Korea, China, Russia, etc. are as important as Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto.
Any thoughts?
