Incorrect. The y2K fiasco is a complete hoax. the so-called "millenium bug' has been a problem since the dawn of computing. there is absolutely nothing magical about 12/31/99. there will be no "cascading failure scenarios" (consider that nearly all complex hardware/software systems are rife with bugs and real-world limitations such as memory limits, etc. Yet the world has not come to an end). When all is said and done, the money to repair the y2k problem will not even sow up as a pimple when compared against the background of general IT/IS spftware maintenance budgets. This is EXACTLY why the "pure" Y2K plays are now nearly worthless.
