Remember only the paranoid survive. <<Never said we were insulated from the world economy.>> On this we agree <<Rather, low US interest rates and strong US economy have offset any significant effect from weakness overseas.>>Barring a lot of earnings revisions and disappointments, maybe you're right so far. <<I ask again, tell me why you think the US economic fundamentals are breaking down.>>I never said they are breaking down, I said they are going to deteriorate( in my opinion)Why?:1) overseas economies that are in chaos will effect our economy 2) consumer sentiment could become more cautious because of#1 and because of Y2K 3) Y2K BTW, I'm not screaming, maybe its your perception.
