Actually it is funny you mention sex because sex is the number one application for Internet Telephony today. Lots of the 900 traffic is moving to the Internet because seeing is better than hearing (at least in some cases!) (You need to buy my new book, Internet Telephony for Dummies, ... not that you are a dummy. :-)) Anyway, I think video is the killer application driving Internet access into the home, as well as rote commerce (I live on an island off the coast of Maine, and I get all my groceries delivered to my door; I order from the Internet,...cool!) Videoconferencing and shared applications will drive a lot of remote office and intranet applications, I think.
