Mark,

<<The question I have is why would God expect 100% obedience when he gave us that nature that in no way, shape, or form, would ever allow us to match the behavior of that expectation? Why would God create a system where intention and good works are less than fully valued, but age old sins are held against us forever?>>>

Wouldn't it be best then to submit to a God that powerful? God accused the Children of Israel of thinking that He thought the same way they thought. But God said my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways.

As much as we don't relish the judgements of God they are true and anyone who violates His laws will not be held guiltless. Our only hope is to come to the cross of Christ, confess our sins and receive an undeserved pardon. Other than that there is no hope for all eternity.

Chris
