Santiago,

The reason you are at a loss to see why I don't understand is that you are seeking something that is not there.

1. Jesus came to earth to fulfill prophesy and bring signs and wonders to his people to announce the bringing in of the literal Kingdom of God.

JESUS came to earth to save lost sinners, by a sacrifice that man could never do.He used His signs and wonders that the world might believe and because of His compassion, and because of the faith of some.

2. Jesus is crucified.

Hey, we agree on something! ( He also was raised on the third day in victory over death.)

3. Peter tells his people that they have crucified Christ, the Son of God and says, repent and be baptised.

Yes and also says

IPeter 1: verse 9 for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

verse 12 ...you, in regard to the things that have now been announced to you through those who brought you good news by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven--things into which angels long to look!

same mystery.

verse18 You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold,
verse 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.

same mystery.

4. Jesus, in a glorified state, chooses Paul as a new apostile and reveals the Mystery hidden in God since the world began.

As I said in my last post, I think the mystery is the open secret in the Person of Jesus Christ as Savior of the world. He revealed Himself to the Apostles, and lastly to Paul(1 Cor. 15) as one untimely born. Not "new" but also.

8. Paul says it is HIS GOSPEL

I would probably argue this point with you till they ban us from SI. :o)

1 Cor. 1:
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

..GOSPEL is the English word used to translate the Greek word for "good news." Christians use the word to designate the message and story of God's saving activity through the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of God's unique Son Jesus.

So was the "good news" only delivered to the gentiles?? Of course not it merely was delivered by Paul. The apostles had the same good news. They were witnesses of the good news.

Luke 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Acts 8:25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

Romans 15: Paul writing:
15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Whose gospel? Gods of course of which Paul is a minister.

1 Cor. 9:
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

Whose gospel? Christs of course of which Paul has been commissioned to preach to the Gentiles. Same grace.

Could have many more but it is enough.. Anyway, maybe it is better we decide to agree to disagree here.

God Bless.
dan
