You are maybe right about market expectations but If you have noticed, the DOW and Canadian market is negative for the year, we are not talking a 9% return, it will be hard to get a positive return for the current year.

BTW I find funny to see those so called specialist who are saying today that they were expecting that kind of drop, bullshit, those guys were pushing small investors to throw money in the market to get their pay.
