Steve:
Penny stocks can be gold mines or sink (or stink) holes but should never make up more than 5% of a portfolio. If we're assuming we are dealing with this portion of our investment dollar, why not have some fun with a penny stock that you're confident about?
Traffic on a thread has so little to do with the inherent quality of a company that it should be apparent to you that you're only asking that because you are so wound up in the GIFS mentality. Peter made a comment once (I think on one of the ADMT threads) about Teradyne being a high quality company which has gone up ~50% in the last ~3 months with negligable thread traffic and virtually no hype.
I think both DOCU and GIFS are currently being negatively effected by year-end tax adjustments - the real battle begins 1/1/97 (starting prices GIFS: 2.43-2.50; DOCU: 29/32-31/32).
