Good call, although I'd rather hope for ACTL to be the next Altera. I sell both Actel and Altera products. While Actel has some good products coming, particularly their SFPGA's (system on a chip) they have a long way to go to catch either one. Altera will far and away kick Xilinx's butt in '97. ALTR has been beat up recently in the tech selloff, and 2 for 1 split has been announced for shareholders (I think) as of 12/18. Actel is a compelling long term play, I've heard that current quarter is not going to blow anyone away, but I agree that '97 should see substantial growth. EPLD/FPGA is definitely right market to be in. ACTL is well positioned with fast very high density parts. They've also stepped up their marketing efforts in recent quarters and that should start to pay off as well. I'm a buyer on dips below $20.
