Hello! Jack and All Thread Participants,
For the general interest of the members of this NYRR Thread I would like to share some of my thoughts/opinions that have come to mind as a result of a recent communication that I had with an NYRR Management Representative.
Please treat my opinions in this posting as just that--My opinions and Speculative thoughts--and are only the way that I interpretted my communication with the NYRR Representative. As I am a shareholder of NYRR it of course will stand to reason that I am most likely ( maybe hopefully) leaning towards the positive direction of what my thoughts/opinions are from my communication!
Let's just say that if you treat this posting with entertainment value
and continue to do what is right for you and do not base any/all investment decisions based on someone else's opinions--then you may find my opinions at least something to be entertained by!
#1.--I ( Wayne J.) expressed disappointment that NYRR is not yet a reporting Company----the response as I understood it to be was,"There are a couple of complicated issues that are being resolved that stem from Bestsellers items from before the merger with the RR. The Railroad's data, as far as this representative knows, has been resolved for quite some time."
#2.--I asked if the Company representative could shed any thoughts that might give me some hope as a longstanding and loyal NYRR Shareholder?---- the response was," I am quite confident that we are moving ahead on schedule in the political and trade arenas- I'm not worried about it."
#3.-- I indicated that with the overall downturn of the Stock market arena--I felt it would be prudent to hear some positive news from NYRR
----the response was," Some minor news was updated on the News section of the website. We've signed some new contracts with CSX and NS to forge ahead in the Post-Conrail Merger world."
#4.--I ( Wayne J.) have noticed that the NYRR Webb Site has not been updated since May--when do you plan on updating it????----the response was, " As above-mainly infrastructure information-we're not yet ready to release some other information, but will be forthcoming in the next 30-45 days. The old cliche, no news is good news, sometimes is a good thing. We're moving ahead with our plan, making good ground in key areas,have developed some rather good new contracts, and are developing our federal grants. In all, we're only one year and a couple of months into the whole revitalization project. I think we've done quite well. Keep the faith."
Well that's the end of the feed back--at least my impression/understanding/ opinion of it.
What's next? I ( Wayne J.) wish I knew! But, I will say this --based on the 30 - 45 day comment/feedback---I'll be watching closely and with interest as the period September 30 to October 15th. time frame rolls around.
