-----OT------ How do the crazy guys trade at the last minutes before closing?

I can only tell from my experience. I am sure they are many variations.

I remembered a client needed to close his copper positions on COMEX(Commodity Futures Exchange) on one day, so at 15 minutes before close, I called the floor broker and asked how many lots (one contract (lot) eq 100 shares) in the pits, the broker said about 2000, so I called back the client and he said buy market-on-close, all of them. You can image what happened when the order was placed.

The first rule of playing this market is that you have to protect yourself first. Any crazy things can happen.
