So, I guess you're not buying this bear market stuff. ;-)

I think you had a very valid point when you mention that the US market will be the safe place for investors. I believe that money going into US stock market will accelerate as we reach year 2000. That's why I have started to have US stocks this year and not only canadian stocks (through mutual funds).

By the way, the canadian dollar was severely hit in the last couple of weeks and the canadian markets have dropped considerably. I know that some canadian are starting to feel that is not a bad idea to have some US dollars (US stocks). I have asked several people at work and was surprised to see that a lot of them had US dollar bank account or stock in the US market. You would not have seen this 5 years ago, I can guarantee you.
