Many of these plans are administered as annuities with the option for the participant to designate the type of vehicle in which the funds are to be invested. The type of investor that will be liquidating is not expected to be a 70 1/2 year old person. Rather a middle aged baby boomer who will call up the 401K administrator and ask that the funds be rotated out of the growth portfolio into the money market or bond fund. It is the funds that will need to make the decision on which of their holdings to liquidate. Hopefully, they will not touch any THQI that they own. However, institutional selling pressure today has led me to believe that these fund managers are selling the stock. I am still long. And your sarcasm wasn't necessary.
