Excuse me, tractor? You had a tractor and went walking to move dangerous beeves? I've been in on some moving of cattle on foot and you gotta stay alert and keep facing them and pushing them. You let them think and they can figure out the size difference. A gun doesn't hurt either. Got a 11 week old foal that should be one hell of a cow horse when he gets a little bigger.
