Bob:

<<As the day went on, WCII remained at about the
same level with the other 75% of the shares traded, on unusually high volume, while
the rest of the market went into free-fall.

How do you explain that, in light of your pessimistic viewpoint?>>

I would caution you from extrapolating too much based on any one data point. Markets are inherently complex animals, based on multitudes of buys and sells from both this moment, and on previous days/weeks/months.

As for today's action, perhaps all the short term sellers had already disappeared, and moved on to selling other securities. Perhaps a new crop of buyers felt Winstar might make a good rebound trade for the coming dead cat bounce. In short, Who knows? Longer term trends are easier to predict, although even those have long disconnect times from reality.

JC
