Pray.

Actually, it's not asking about advice that's stupid per se, it's just that Paul isn't going to give any...except to maybe buy Intel.
You see it's easy to say how silly a market drop is if you're aren't really feeling the pain...and got loads of Intel for nada...
So, what if it's 71 and you bought at 100?...Someone who paid a dollar won't feel your pain.
Basically, buy blue chips when they are down is not a bad idea...but that takes money and if you bought and held from the first of the year where do you get the money to buy with? Or if you didn't sell last month, where you going to get the money? This is a question that always comes up at times like these. Several weeks ago I said there will be a time when buy and hold doesn't work, or even buy on dips...I think we've had a lot of the latter...and some of the former.
Understand that the last 7 point drop in AMD and more in Intel are the result of general market conditions....that's why someone who lately constantly reminds us that AMD is trading lower looks pretty "dumb".
My recommendation to you is make a short list of stocks you always wanted to own but were too expensive. These will likely recover first.
