Dear Mr. Gintel,
I too want to express my sincere appreciation for a fabulous weekend at the Ocean Reef Club. There aren't very many people that would invite 25 strangers into their home and treat them with the kind of hospitality and generosity we experienced this weekend. You, sir, are a gentleman in a class of your own. Please extend the gratitude of my wife and I to Rhonda and Marty as well. They too are exceptional people.
Not only was this weekend great fun, but it was a huge education for me as well. Meeting Peter Kight and Alan Schullman (sp?) was truly a privelege. Being surrounded by many of the great minds on this CKFR thread was an inspiration.
For those of you who weren't able to make the trip, you should know that there was a great deal of discussion that took place outside of the conference call. Several of us were able to spend one-on-one time with Pete, Alan, and Sharon Osberg. I'll let some of the other more sophisticated attendees give their perspectives, but suffice to say, I came away very impressed with the company's prospects. So much so that I upped my CKFR position by 33% today at 8 7/8.
The consensus seems to be that this stock may flounder for another quarter or two at worst, but there's a good chance that we beat some estimates around that time, and Wall Street's short-term memory will begin to fade. CKFR stockholders are paying a pretty heavy price right now for some questionable management statements, but in a year or so it won't matter anymore.
Best of luck everyone. |
