John --
Thanks for the fantastic response. It was just curious that the bid/ask changed so little most of the day. It almost seemed as though someone were buying and selling to each other. But, wait! The 62K registered yesterday was an adjustment to the Soros deal. Wouldn't that mean it was a controlled buy/sell? And could that have been transacted today?
I may be way out in left field, so correct me if I'm wrong.
One other bit of scuttlebutt: I heard USRX will come out with CAP first and follow with DMT when it's ready. No surprise to anyone who's been watching the industry, but I suspect it might have scared some momentum players. If the stock gets hurt on the rumor, does it have to take another hit if/when the announcement comes out?
Apart from what all these companies (ASND, 3Com, Hayes, USRX. . .) say they're developing, does anyone know what's actually ready to ship? Seriously, is GlobeSpan shipping CAP in commercial quantities? If so, which chip and at what price?
As for ASND's ISDL, I've been told it requires a dedicated line and will not work with voice and data at the same time. Is this for real? Anyone know?
I guess what I'm saying, and I'm definitely a little frustrated at this point, is what's smoke and mirrors and what's real? Heck, does anyone know if the 56K works in the real world?
I'm beginning to know how Truman felt the night before the election results were in. "Dewey elected," indeed.
Ah, well, the annual meeting's two days away. I'm making my list of questions as we speak.
