" Now people are increasing their cash positions. And what will they do with their money?"

Wait for a clearly defined bottom. It's no joke, Ralph. We are in a Bear Market here! This Market has not bottomed yet. Cash is King in this environment. 3 Month Treasury Bills will also outperform. For the more aggressive, there is short selling. Plenty of great companies with very high valuations to short. The Great Dell, the Invincible Microsoft, and the Daring Cisco. All of these Darlings have more to go on the Downside. The Stock that most people love to hate, MO, will buck the trend.
Talks resume with the AG's on Wednesday. The AG's are optimistic. So am I. 60 may not be possible in this environment, but low 50's is possible.
A Counter Trend Corrective Rally for the U.S. Market is over due. The Smart Money will be selling into this strength. Rational Caution is the watchword here now. We've had our irrational exuberance.
