At least they were alive. I've become used to disfunctional at crunch time. I have one problem..... they actually have to pick up the phone and contact the MM by *voice* for one stock that I trade frequently. It really mucks stuff up for a few minutes. Takes about 10-20 minutes to get the trades filled, even on a normal day.

This bit me yesterday. I sold some of this issue to free up cash for an options trade. The options trade went first, but the cash from the earlier sale of the shares hadn't cleared, so the cash for the options wasn't there. Schwab just CANCELED ("nothing done") the option trade and didn't even bother to call me. Fortunately, I saw it on-line, called Schwab 500, and replaced the trade while it was still at the same ask. No harm done, but just another incidence of lack of consideration.
