LastShadow and other regulars:

How does one get started in "Day trading"?

Would the pros like you and other experienced traders who regularly contribute in this thread share their knowledge with, and offer some tutelage to, newbies like me who want to start day trading?

In particular:

1. Must read books, on-line courses
2. Types of software required
3. Types of real-time data feeds
4. Recommendations of brokerage houses
5. Types of stocks to deal with to gain experience...only blue chips, DJ 30, S&P 500 etc.
6. Any other do's and don'ts

I'm sure there are many lurkers like me who are a little bit awed by the amount of savvy and knowledge you display and are too timid to ask you such basic questions.

Any comments/suggestions/advice will be very much appreciated and thanked.
