<<<i do know Activision is headed in the right direction>>>
Welcome to the board Amir, i agree with your above statement. This whole industry is going through mergers and buyouts.
ATVI managed to get the 60 million last year, and can actually use it. Other companys like GTIS and THQI, tried convertibles this year and failed. This leaves ATVI ahead of the pack as far as buying distribution companys, other game companys, publishing rights, licenses, and other game companys.
ATVI has the 4 things that a company needs to either be bought out or survive.
1. Development Studios 2. Distribution Companys 3. Game publishing 4. Licenses The company owns the above 4 things, alot of the competition owns percentages of the above areas, some of them are really just publishers, fighting just to get the rights of certain titles.
If you look at the carnage the industry is suffering through, you will notice the companys that control the above 4 items are finding a bottom, ATVI has, ERTS is close, the rest are still looking, and the market will not speculate anymore with a bunch of "ifs"
I'm comfortable knowing the company is attractive as a takeover target, glad it has the cash to grow, has over 40 games coming out on all platforms.
