Hi "Lawrence"????
Nice Try!
Anybody who wants to can buy GMD "dirt cheap" right now, comparatively speaking of course to what the vast majority of people paid for it over the years. The "opportunists" have long since come and gone and are now living comfortably on the Rock. What few who remain and are looking for skin on the bones of this carcass have been picking it up over the last few months for a pittance. No Lawrence, nobody has to rattle the cages with false info on this one to drive the price down or create dumping. The market and the previous insiders were doing that quite well.
Lawrence, what I wrote is correct and is actually quite easily verified. "Whoever" told you that the $800K would go to the lien holders is correct but obviously not up to date or is trying to deceive you. I noticed that the liens were only recently filed, the 18th of August to be exact, so the liens had not been filed and in place at the time the cash in lieu deposit was returned by the Gov't. to GMD. Subsequent enquiries have revealed that the lien holders were willing to let the company reorganize and get back up on its feet so that they could honor the commitments that were in place and so held off on filing. Maybe they should have just filed the liens and they would have been $800K to the good and GMD would have been sucking wind.
Sorry about mistaking the distance you have to walk to the Recorders office. It was only recently that you posted your email address in your profile. I had previously thought that you lived in the north. I can provide you with the mailing address and the phone number for the NWT mining recorders office if you wish. However maybe the walk would do you good and help clear your head.
"Some folks" are, to a certain degree, correct re sour grapes on GMD. It had to do with a property deal that was several months in the negotiating process and was ready for signing when the "good guys" of GMD caught the "bad guys" of GMD with their fingers in the till and our property deal and a couple of others went up in smoke. It all had to do with GMD trying to assemble a land package that may very well have cinched a deal with a major on the Discovery project. What ticked me off the most was that we lost two full seasons of exploration on our property while negotiating in good faith with certain principals of GMD at the time. Oh well, crap happens and life goes on, the sour grapes have long since rotted and been thrown into the compost pile of experience. However what that experience, along with others, have taught me and a few other small industry players up here is, to be constantly vigilant for those companies and particularly individuals within companies who who are out to skin the "little guy" any which way they can including defaulting on both signed agreements and hand shake deals. It is most interesting to observe the range and sophistication of the defense mechanisms available to, and being employed by, the "little guy" these days, with a large degree of success I should add. No more will that mother lode be sold for $50. and a sack of potatoes!
Nope. No hidden agenda here Lawrence. I came across this information quite by accident and thought that it should be shared with GMD investors so that they know what is going on, particularly when they made their investment in good faith and have been screwed already. I would think that the lien holders action constitutes a material change in the company position and I think there are exchange regs that state such a change has to be announced within 10 days. So how come no press release from the company eh?!
So.... now "Richie", it's your turn to come clean and tell us your sources. Who is feeding you the BS about the $800K and who are these "some folks" that think this is all sour grapes eh? Maybe when you share those names there can be additional revealing information made available to GMD shareholders. By the way "some folks" up here are wondering if you're a paid hype for the company or just another victim caught long?
