I'm at the other end of your range for say 'earnings plays' (i.e. about 20%, hopefully).. But what about days like today or even days like yesterday when a trade would give you easily 5-10%. I'm asking because every time I think I want to hold a trade overnight (i.e. say NSCP) I decide the profit is enough and not go for more in this volatile market. When do feel it's okay? It's obviously more intrinsic lately in the market climate than the fundamentals/technicals of the particular stock.
