Steve,
I hope you're right and more $$ goes to companies that are making profits.
But, when the market finishes correcting, if it does, and $$ start flowing back, I think we'll see the same pattern as before. Net stocks are already bouncing back a little it seems.
And, a lot of people have doubled, tripled, quadrupled their $$ in the net stocks (I think this is the case), that a big 50% correction is not enough to cause them much pain. They will be back in the net stocks sooner than they will hardware stocks.
Hopefully, you're right and more $$ transfers to COMS. The best thing COMS can do is produce solid profits, then we will be back in business. I do think this market rewards profits moreso than previous markets, due to difficulty producing them from Asia Flu.
btw...did you read that market share report re the remote access and router equipment. I read that as very positive, and a sign that COMS is asserting itself over the long run. What's your take?
Plus, yesterday, I was reading Network magazine. Ethernet Gigabyte switches are going to be hot (which COMS dominates) and they are starting to have Ethernet NICs.
Isn't it true though, that most PC computers and workstations are not built to work with bandwidth coming out of a ethernet gigabit lan system?
