(NewsTraders) -- International Paper Co. (IP) has registered $1.1 billion of equity and debt securities under an S-3 shelf filing at the SEC. International Paper plans to use any proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes. In addition, the filing also is carrying over $975.78 million of securities previously registered under another shelf filing, which brings the total amount of securities eligible to be issued to $2.08 billion.
