Bruce, my apologies for the use of the word. I repeated it because someone else had used it previously. Upon reading my written words, I agree that the word itself denotes a negative connotation and that was not my objective. Dictionary definition for smug is self-satisfaction. I was trying to say that that was how I was (and still am) feeling in regards to my portfolio and it is due to P&F. I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone else. That wasn't my intention.
