mrknowitall, The "vast majority of end-user/customers" you speak of are now on the internet just the the rest of us & they can read & comprehend contempt when they see it. No one likes to be jerked around, & no one likes to hear about other customers being jerked around. It's downright un-American. That cavalier attitude hurt US auto manufacturers in the 70's & early 80's when consumers went for Japanese imports, & it won't work for MSFT in the 90's. When consumers finally realize that they don't have to put up with crummy software from Microslop anymore, the fact that the company is run by a bunch of assholes will make switching brands that much easier.
