It's not that I'm in Canada that I don't have a clue.

Just don't know USA tax laws.

Me, I trade tax free (90%) for the moment. Only have to pay tax when I retire or withdraw funds from my trading account.

Perhaps what your describing is income averaging. Used to exist here, coul dopt to average you income over X years. Good for some, bad for others.

Perhaps the best thing to do is invest in one of my stocks, then you won't have to worry about any gains ;-)
