In his speech today, Jobs said they just sold their one millionth G3. I love it when he does that. Now we can really play:
1,000,000-535,000 G3's sold in prev. Q's = 465,000 G3's sold so far this Q.
465,000 / 67 days gone in this Q= 6,940 G3's a day.
Since there are 25 days left in this Q, 25 * 6,940=173,500
So, we add 465,000 + 173,500 and get 638,500
638,500. A FAR cry from Eric's predicted 800,000 + (which I thought was right on the ball if not slightly conservative). Since an imac is a G3 I assume this number includes iMacs. I am terrified of this number.
Also, I noticed Steve said the reason for powerbook shortage was because they forecasted wrong for demand! Hello?!?!?!?
Eric-PLEASE analyze these numbers and tell me/us that I am missing something in that 638,500 number.
