It's amazing how this thread can deviate from the basic fundamentals that got us to the highs. Not to say we are headed there tomorrow but you must understand that we will recover quicker than most in this business.

1) FON needs last mile connect to attach that wonderful ION system they just spent Bils on putting in. Are they going to pay the high rates of the RBOC"S for ISDN or DSL to get their customers on line. Probably not if they can help it.

2) WCOM in all its infinite wisdom (aquisitions) has still done little to make the last mile connect to it's customers. MFS has very little of the 500-700 thousand buildings needed to be connected to HBW. MCIC has 28 fiber rings with switches but go no further than the ring. How do they get into the city?

3) AT&T bought TCI but how do they get to the business customer? TCGI as well serve very few of the business bldgs out there.

How can AT&T or WCOM justify paying 3-500K to put HBW fiber into a bldg when they can do it with WCII, TGNT or ARTT for 20 K. 4K with P-MP. It ain't happening.

Vogel's report is dead on when they show WCII as the #3 CLEC in markets served behind AT&T/TCGI and WCOM/MFS. Who gets bought next to fill the void that all the consolidations have left, the last mile?

WCII and ICIX are next plain and simple so hang on as best as you can. These two stocks should fair the best in the CLEC group.

See Ya!
