RN:
First: Re Hype. That's kool and also fair. I'll have to read back to your original postings to see those disclaimers, but we just had to check, one can never be to careful these days as there are just way too many paid manipulators cruising the threads on SI.
Second: The IR for GMD. You're right there was a GMD press release dated July 14, 1998 that stated the following....
"The Company has filed reports with the NWT government authorities for work completed in previous years. Documents prepared by the Company's consulting geologist indicate that the Company should expect to receive back a portion of the existing $1.1 million performance bond."
It would only be fair at this point for you to ask these IR folks just when the funds were received by the company from the Government and then compare that date with the date the liens were filed, which again was August 18th, 1998. If the funds flowed to the company prior to that date then that would explain why it was not rerouted to the lien holders. I am almost 100% certain that is the case as it was fairly common knowledge by the end of July that GMD was breathing a little easier with receipt of some of the funds from the performance bond. However the IR folks should be able to verify that for you. It is simple enough. Again, I can assure you that this business of the liens is no "spiel", but I'm not about to spend hours doing your DD for you, I've done my bit by letting you know they exist and have been filed and accepted by the mining recorder.
Third: Let's not get confused here. I am definitely not knocking the Royce group properties or their potential, quite the contrary. Between the data that has been officially published by the company and the various "street sources" you have every reason to be optimistic and remain so. There are a few "key" pieces of information that "convieniently" have not been published to date, specifically related to the type, content, frequency and chemistry of the indicators, but you know this diamond stuff it's all "hush hush" you know. Other than that though and based on what is known, yep it's a good bet as bets go, and some very knowledgeable and experienced people are right in there betting with you, so you are in good company! I think that may very well be one of the reasons why the liens have been filed. The lien holders obviously must feel its worth the bother. It would definitely appear that the recent market conditions, coupled with the previous and unfortunate shenannigans, have created an excellent bargain in an underpriced stock with some very interesting upside. It would be a shame to see such a rare combination get AFU'd because of an issue like this.
Fourth: "Sour grapes"! Some Yellowknifers and ex 'knifers you say. Ah yes, that is indeed rich (pardon the pun). Eee Gads! Why I must be famous to have that many people know that much about me. Well I'll tell ya, when you've spent a decade in politics in a town like this like I have, you get used to comments like that. Such unfounded innuendo is a common and unfortunate human character flaw and more often that not it is usually the "source" that is harboring the "sour grapes". No sweat, I've nothing to hide and unlike some of your sources my integrity is very much intact,(don't forget I live in Yellowknife and it is a SMALL town.) RN, you've got the right approach with the pinch and salt stuff, just pinch your nose and be very liberal with the salt. Don't make the mistake of being sucked in by your sources making their information conditional on you maintaining their anonymity. It not only reflects very negatively on their credibility but also on yours. If your sources don't have the intestinal fortitude to let their name stand with their word then their word doesn't amount to more than a pile of beans and if you are going on words that are nothing more than a pile of beans that makes you a product of the beans (no offense intended). But gosh! I forgot! They might be company directors or ex-directors, in which case they wouldn't dare come in here now would they! Hmmmmm.
Fifth: Doc Dave! Yes it will be most interesting to see what Mr. Webb has to say about this one. He's worked very hard to see this company salvaged from the dung heap of destitution and I doubt he's going to let it get screwed up again with out raising a fuss. I'm sure that when he has the time to check in, that not only will he have some interesting tales from the tombs of Genghis Khan, but he will quite likely be able to provide you with some valuable insights regarding the nature of this affair based on info that that I am not privy to nor do I want to be. But Richie! Don't wait for the Doc, check it out yourself so that you can ask pertinent questions of the esteemed practitioner. In fact why wait for him, why not pose the question to the FNG's and test their mettle to see if it is worthy. At least the Doc has the knards to come in and answer the questions. Where are the new guys these days? Out getting their feet wet? Ya right!
Put it this way Richnorth (Lawrence). I can't help but think for a moment that if I or anyone I knew was a shareholder of ANY company and knew of the existence of such a matter I'd check it out thoroughly and then demand to know what the heck is going on and how are they going to rectify the situation so that it doesn't jeopardize my bet. Nuff said, I've done my bit to let you all know the scoop, the rest will be up to you, just don't let them mess it up on you all (again) and remember the "little guys" for you are one also...
Ah! Methinks 'tis enough dissertation, to assuage and wish commiseration, to all the poor souls in the wagon, but beware and alas, the dragon, lest it bite your ass!
But fear not mere mortals, the many headed monster that grimly chortles, that flame snorting, wing flapping blight, 'tis likely to fall, to the gore glistening sword, of a worthy black knight!
I'll be off again to spar with the wizards and lizards to see what sizzles and slithers in those outfits that have a pan! Good luck!
Unquestionably forthright. L8er, Regards, TAZ |
