I guess the other thing is the IBM copper chips. As I've mentioned
before, if Apple is going to incorporate these into portable products
they may have the ability to leapfrog the competition for that sector
and remain ahead for quite some time.

In order to leapfrog something, you have to be behind it in the first place. Apple's PowerBook performance has been far better than anything Wintel for quite awhile. Perhaps you meant to say it will lengthen Apple's current lead?
