MG, RE: Speculating

If you are only 25% invested, you cannot be having great discomfort, and the lessons of '96 were learned.

FRBFX, my key to the financial sector, is down 13.9% as of 8/31. I just don't see the market recovering without the financial sector. Look at BSC. I was playing a $57-8 to $60 game just a few short weeks ago. If the financial sector retreats into their shell, as they did in the late 80's, then IMHO it will have the same results and ripple affect throughout the economy will be just as severe. That was not a pleasant time.

I'm now to the point that I'll take positions when I see a positive 60-min Sto. At least that way, I don't feel I'm pissing into the wind. Clearly, there has been severe TA damage done. I find my trend lines and supports are useless.

Going to be interesting what happens as we start getting the earnings warnings. Hard to see a recovery in this light.
