Clinton might be held in contempt of court. This is just the beginning, my friend.

Judge plans to release Paula Jones case documents

dailynews.yahoo.com.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Reuters) - A federal judge Tuesday said she would release President Clinton's deposition and other files in Paula Jones' sexual harassment lawsuit unless either side appeals the move before Sept. 15.

U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright said she would unseal Clinton's deposition in the case and other court documents on Sept. 28 if no appeal is filed by the Sept. 15 deadline. Clinton has opposed the release of any of the sealed files.

Wright also said she ''has concerns'' about Clinton's January deposition in the Jones case following his admission last month that he had a inappropriate relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Clinton told Jones' lawyers in the January deposition that he did not have a sexual relationship with Lewinsky, and that he could not recall ever being alone with her.

Wright indicated in her ruling Tuesday that Clinton might be found in contempt of court for not detailing his relationship with Lewinsky in his deposition, but said she had not yet decided what to do about it.

''Although the Court has concerns about the nature of the president's January 17 1998 deposition given his recent public statements, the court makes no findings at this time regarding whether the president may be in contempt,'' she said.
