<<Six months from now, I expect that Asian iMac sales will exceed US sales. Does anyone know if Asia uses cable? I expect that most iMac sales in Asia will go to consumers buying a machine to sit in the corner of a cramped living environment. Without cable modems, the ethernet port is a useless extra expense.>>
Pravin, I don't know what the heck you are talking about. Have you been to any following countries in Asia before? All you have in US can be found in Asia. In terms of living standard, I think Asia countries, such as Japan, Hong Kong, Singorpore, Taiwan and S. Korea, are not far behind US, some even exceed western countries. Please don't mis-judge based on your angle derived from biased media. Go to find out yourself if there is a chance. I agree your assessment on Asia's market in the future, particularly mass production for iMac or others. I think Apple needs Asia countries other than Singorpore to help produce more machines with lower costs if Apple has bigger market share in PC industry in the future. If Apple administration has the similar thought you have, then there exists little hope to gain more market share.
