Tom: I've been considering investing in PCTL, probably will still do it. I believe that the growth in videoconferencing, video phones, whatever will raise all boats - so I'm doing the 'buy a basket' approach..

But I had a conversation with a colleague this morning who has many friends at PictureTel. He says that they are about to lose 'several senior managers' and that morale is generally quiet. Given the institutional ownership and recent price action, I tend to believe that his insights are accurate.

His take is that, while sales are good, margins are deteriorating.
