Will not work, we would have autofry birds as they flew through the field the shorted conductor would induce currents and roast the birds in flight.
In addition they might be so heavy they could not fly and I can see hunters blasting copper jacketed ducks walking north/south with aggravated cats scratching in futile aggravation at the armour,
quite a scene, did you foresee that?
