It goes like that sometimes. But you are
not alone. Even the greatest investors get
worked sometimes. Consider:

Warrent Buffett got thrashed by Waste Management
last year. If he can't find accounting irregul-
arities, nobody can.

Peter Lynch got thrashed in Gold Stocks last year.

George Soros had a big stake in BRE-X.

So Kerry, you can see that everyone has their bad
days. My advice would be to dollar cost average
the S and P 500 in a tax protected account. You
will outperform 80% of the professional fund managers
in any given year, save money on taxes, and over time
build a bundle in the account. You can keep your online
brokerage but look at it more like a hobby so that you
don't feel the pain when you take a hit.
