Terrence, too bad you are using your wonderful mind to rationalize yourself into believing there is no God, in effect, rationalizing yourself into nonexistence.
If there is no God, as you state, how do you account for the mind you have? Would it not be much more rational to reason that if one has a mind , it came from some other being with the ability to be rational. Working backwards from parents to grandparents, etc,. to some time when a human mind was created that was rational. Observing the world around us we can determine that all that exists came from "something" . Doesn't a tree bring a tree, a horse a horse, etc, things after its kind? This conclusion says to me there must have always been something. That "something" that existed before human awareness was the being man has called GOD. He defines Himself to man as the "I AM that I Am". Bottom line, in simple terms, to the mind of man is, "The eternal self existing one" . If there had ever been a time when there was "nothing" , then there would still be "nothing". As can be observed, it is impossible for "nothing" to bred "something". I have heard that some scientist think they have brought something out of nothing, but even then there was an environment of themselves and their equipment.

Jesus is alive Terrence, I know Him, He knows me.

David
